This painting came out of an exercise from a watercolor class with Chris Chadwick at the Chester County Art Association. We were working on the boat and trying to set it into the march land background.
I liked the subject matter a lot. The boat reminded me of a rowboat I used for fishing in my youth and I love the marsh lands behind the Jersey shore areas. The challenge was to get the perspective right.
