Alaskan Getaway

Alaskan Getaway was painted in my studio in September of 2018 using photographs for inspiration that were taken by my daughter on a visit this past summer to see her brother -in-law in Alaska. They stayed in a Yurt on a peninsula near Homer. The Yurt is located in trees to the left of the beach and is not visible from the water. The cabin shown is their neighbor and best friends’ summer getaway.
