I love cruising slowly in my boat through the no wake zones leading out to the inlets on each side of Brigantine Island. The variety of colors and shapes of the houses, bulkheads, docks and boats is a feast for the eyes. I frequently take pictures for later reference. This painting is based on a picture I took a couple of years ago on the north end of the island. The picture was painted in my studio in July of 2016. I have done some watercolor sketching from my kayak. One of my goals is to do a similar plein air painting from my boat.
